This handy tool is designed for mowing operations, landscape teams, and homeowners who like a precise cut on their lawn all season long. The 1/8" thick, high-impact plastic gauge shows the proper cutting height for lawns of 3.5" to 4" for Tall Fescue Grass, Bluegrass and Saint Augustine Grass varieties of turf. Simply mow a test area on the lawn and then push the bottom spike into the soil until the bottom of the unit comes in firm contact with the soil. Look at the gauge and you can see the actual cutting height of the grass. This method measures the actual height of turfgrass so you can compare it with mower settings. Gauge shows height of cut in 1/2 inch increments from 1/2" to 5-1/2".
